Seems to be a fine product. The sticks all arrived intact with non of the disintegration of the silver nitrate tip that I have seen on occasion. Althoug seldom required, they are about the most efficient way of managing an acute kanker sore of the mouth and some other sites of granulating inflammatory tissues.

But shipper offered to reship, and even refunded most of my shipping charges.

The product works well, so no real complaints. I decided not to reship, as the stock he had on hand matched the stock I received.

Differences between actual package and listing:

Wooden applicators; listing claimed plastic.

Two years remaining shelf life; listing claimed five.

All in all, still a good deal.

I would be wary purchasing an item from this seller. The sticks that I received had little or no nitrate on the stick. You can tell if there is adequate nitrate when the skin discolors to a dark brown/black. When using these sticks it turned the skin a very pale gray/white which indicated potassium but not silver nitrate. I am not surprised that they did not work for a previous reviewer. I emailed the company about the problem and they acted surprised and did not offer to replace the item nor did they discuss any refund. I shipped back the item over five weeks ago and have not received a refund or any communication from them. I will not be buying from this seller again.

If you get painful canker sores (mouth ulcers), this is the fastest way to stop the pain and start the healing. This particular product came as wooden sticks in a nice plastic tube with good end-caps. Silver nitrate on ends was intact and worked perfectly. I save the sticks by wrapping the used end in aluminum foil and re-use until they no longer work.

A good alternative if you've never heard of this: baking soda on the canker sore (especially just before bedtime so it's in contact longer). I've found this speeds up healing by about 3 times. Really helps with the pain, too. Better than Ora-gel or Kanka.

The silver nitrate is working for what I ordered it for. However, it would have been helpful if I'd had instructions on how to use it. I'd never used it before and didn't realize that it was hardened on the end of the applicator. I thought it would come in a bottle in liquid form. I used up one of the applicators before I realized I had to wet it before I could apply it. Also, I didn't know how much water to use and since the silver nitrate does not darken until it gets sunlight I ended up with it in places I neither wanted or needed it.

Fortunately the excess silver nitrate eventually wears off although it takes a while.

Other than that it worked fine and I have enough silver nitrate to last me a long time.

Everyone that suffers from chronic mouth ulcers...this is the product you need.

I have suffered my whole life from those painful canker sores but a month ago I purchased these silver nitrate sticks.

The pain was gone within minutes and the actual ulcer healed in 2 days.

Best money I've ever spent!

I like these. I have many skin tag moles that I remove but they bleed for quite awhile. These help on that.

These Silver Nitrate stick were great. They have plenty of Silver Nitrate on them and they are in a great container.

The sticks were ordered to stop any bleeding when I trimmed my dogs nails. Worked as it was intended. Would order this product again. CBB

These Silver Nitrate applicators are magic. I used them once on the warts on my dogs warts on his head and with one treatment they were gone. My vet suggested I try these, it was cheaper then having them removed and less painful to my pet. All I had to do was dip the end of the stick in some distilled water and rub it on the wart. No messy creams, No bandages, No freezing, No burning, Nothing like that, I just rubbed it on once and within a week the wart turned black and fell off. Then he got a scab and that fell off and now its all gone, like it was never there! Amazing I would use this product again and again if the warts ever come back!
