Guys, why would you pay almost $100 an ounce for silver, when you can find much better deals elsewhere? If you look hard enough, you can find it for less than $60. That's still over priced, but you must pay for fractional silver. Retailers won't sell you fractional silver. Gold, yes, as small as 1/10 ounce, but not silver. Therefore, it comes with a premium. Buying 1/4 ounce and 1/2 ounce rounds is a much better investment. The premium on those is much smaller. People buy silver bullion, for the most part as insurance for a potential breakdown of the country's financial system. It's no secret that our money, paper or coin, is "fiat currency". In other words, it's worthless! Silver and gold on the other hand will never, never be worth nothing! These kind of buyers don't watch the price fluctuations of silver, except to stock up when the price goes down. That's it! For example, we wake up one morning and the price for a loaf of bread is now $15.00! Gas is $42.00 a gallon! All you have is a $20 dollar bill! When you buy that loaf, you get $5.00 in change! Those with silver in their pockets can buy that same loaf of bread, and a gallon of gas for 1/4 ounce of silver, maybe less! That's right! Do your homework before you buy silver, or gold! That's why I buy almost everything on Amazon!

The beauty of a one tenth ounce Walking Liberty Silver round is anyone can own one.
Never mind it is a beautiful piece of precious metal and represents a piece of American
history. I love my silver round and highly recommend one or more for the serious collector
or the average joe (like me!). You cannot loose with this one.

It is exactly what it says it is. These silver pieces are very very small, about the size of a dime. They weigh 3.1 grams... which is totally not worth the price one must pay to get one. They are cute however and great gift for young collectors.
