Ms. Taylor, whom some refer to as a creative marketing genius, now sees her mission as to help further efforts in uplifting our nation - by networking with small African American business-owners, assisting them in the development of their business and marketing plans. A self-starter, Ms. Taylor made her own way, graduating from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Having first worked for NCR as a territory manager, Ms. Taylor founded and grew her own million-dollar printing and direct marketing company in 1987.
Throughout the years, Ms. Taylor served on many boards of non-profit and for profit organizations, and received several titles including Business Executive of the Year from the former New-Penn-Del Minority Business Development Council. This was after a six-year stint in the Air Force working as an Air Traffic Controller. Ms. Taylor was selected to teach Air Traffic Control and did so for three years. And, because of her outstanding teaching ability, Ms. Taylor was then named to lead more than 15,000 Air Traffic Control students through the rigors of the control tower flight simulator, which she headed for more than two of those years. For her efforts she has received numerous commendations and citations from notable persons, including Hans Mark, the former Secretary of Defense.
Her writing career has taken Ms. Taylor to new heights, where she has self-published two books and is a contributing writer for the African American bridal magazine, For You as well as others.

Voices in my head,
By The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (RAWSISTAZ.com and BlackBookReviews.net) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Silver Tongue (Paperback)
Have you ever heard the expression that everyone hears voices? If so, then you can identify with Gregory Washington: husband, father of 4 and air traffic controller who feels as though he exists inside of a pressure cooker. Gregory or GB as the voices demand that he be called, has waged a war of destruction and terror against his unsuspecting wife Tuesday and their children. He is mentally unstable and does not even realize it.Tuesday Washington, is a smart and beautiful attorney whose life on the surface appears to be perfect. But appearances can be deceiving. By day she is a hard working attorney, by night she is running from a mentally unstable husband who also mentally and physically abuses her. Greg, as is the case with many batterers, has 2 faces a public face and a private face. Because he presents himself to the world as perfect, no one believes Tuesday when she reaches out for help. In A Silver Tongue by Marlene Taylor, the evils of abuse and mental illness are explored. As a reader, you get to experience life through the eyes of a mentally ill Greg and you feels Tuesday's fear and hopelessness with the situation that her family is in. Marlene Taylor has written a heartbreaking but very well told story. Reviewed by Simone A. Hawks

Now this is what suspense is all about,

Silver Tounge has love, sex, tragedy, and shows psycho behavior that rivals Fatal Attraction and Sleeping with the Enemy. The writing is fast paced and gets to the point immediately. I feared for Tuesday and her boys and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Two things I really liked about this book: First,Tuesday is not a stupid who created her own mess and second, the author does a brilliant job of showing the difference between Gregory, a good, loving man and G.B. a monster in human form. I read part of this book while waiting for my bus and it was so engaging I didn't even notice or mind when the bus finally came and left without me....
