Robot from Santa
My 6 year old was delighted that Santa got him a robot like he asked. My son is a bit impatient with it however, because it doesn't behave exactly like he thinks it should (it turns when it "should" go straight). I think with more focused play he'll get more out of it. We didn't realize that it could interact with the smaller robot, which is a cool, unexpected feature.

programmable but not remote control
We were a bit surprised that this robot did not come with a hand-held remote control. He has a pad on his back where you can 'record' a series of movements for him to make. He has several moves and is fun to watch. We like to try different series of moves in different orders -- mostly with an adult doing the programming to our 6-year-old's direction.
