Bruce Broughton's score for "Silverado" is a fantastic work for a truly fun-filled western adventure. Forgoing the harmonica and guitar music of the past, Broughton created an orchestra-heavy soundtrack, complete with a truly memorable theme that one cannot help but hum after hearing it. If you enjoyed "Silverado," or just like great film music, then you'll enjoy Broughton's music here. I highly recommend it!

This is the most brilliantly written movie soundtrack I've ever heard. I am a musician and to be able to hear such great writing is a complete thrill! This proves that music can make or break a movie, as I am not sure this movie would have been as good with any other score. If you like Westerns, the West, and great music, this is the quintessential western movie film score of the 20th and likely the 21st century.

The composer is listed as Dennis McCarthy, but as can be seen from the CD cover, Bruce Broughton is the composer

This is the real thing. The sound quality is superb and the whole movie is on this CD -- way better than the limited number of tracks on my vinyl copy. You can really visualize the whole movie as you listen. In the Silverado score, Broughton has created some of the most exciting Western movie music ever (probably some of the most exciting movie music ever, regardless of genre), and it is interesting because it is complex while being highly accessible. Great CD.
