Leatherman Multitools put up with a lot of abuse, and sometimes, you want to work on them. If you have a new Leatherman Wave or Surge, with a 6 pointed star screw, then this tool will help you open it (older leathermans have the 5 pointed star, and this tool is not for them). Why buy a whole set, when you need just one screwdriver? This driver has a small hole in the tip, to bypass the post in a tamper resistant screw.
The screwdriver handle is easy to use, the yellow part turns freely in your palm while you are applying pressure to it. Handle is also ergonomic for ease of use. It starts with a high quality handle, but, the metal shank is Chrome Vanadium Hardened Steel (CR-V) 6150. This is high quality metal. We chose this metal so that the screwdriver will last longer. This was the perfect fit if you have an older Leatherman with the 5 star pattern torx head. I could not find this tool in stores anywhere.
