What's Wrong With Fun!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Silver's Spells for Prosperity (Paperback)
Alot of negativity amongst these reviews. I think people are missing the point. Lady Silver IS a lineaged Witch and a Wiccan Priestess. She is very knowledgable. You all complain that it's all fluff, and real Witches write their own spells anyway... Ms. RavenWolf is writing these books for the BEGINNER...the person who needs a little help, the "new" Witch who needs a little help when it comes to composing a spell...I use her spells as templates, I never copy them word for word, and if you actually READ her words you'd realize that she recommends people to alter them to their specific goals anyway... And why must the Craft be so cold, and serious all the time...what's wrong with making it fun from time to time? Silver RavenWolf is my favorite Craft author and I will continue to buy her books, supporting her. As she promises, "If you keep reading, I'll keep writing." So if you don't like her books you've only yourselves to blame if you keep reading them.Blessed Be, MoonHawk

narrow mindedness is a crime,
By Jenn (Honolulu, HI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Silver's Spells for Prosperity (Paperback)
It is fine to say that witchcraft is not geared towards money... indeed it is not... what it IS geared towards however is the betterment of your life and the lives of those around you. If that means monetary wealth, happiness, and the various other things countless wiccan writers have listed as spell genres, than blessed be. THe only real crime is that of close mindedness. It is unfair to give the book a bad review simply for it's spell genres and it is unfair to say that anyone who uses these spells is abusing the powers of wicca. There are altruistic ways to use money spells!!!

Good for us trying to keep our budgets in balance!,
By Rhiannon Diana (Minneapolis, MN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Silver's Spells for Prosperity (Paperback)
I don't understand why everyone is so upset over this book. Silver doesn't claim to be high and mighty like a lot of other authors do. This book wasn't meant to be 100% serious and isn't about getting rich quick. Financial problems affect a lot of us magickal folk, and to have spells and ideas like this puts fun and light on an otherwise gloomy and depressing problem. She also offers practical non-witchy tips for financial management. Read it if you want to lessen the burden of financial difficulties on your soul and well-being.
