After a few weeks I noticed this strange coating of grayish white material over the mesh of the filter...my fiancee informed me that this was what dust looks like before it manifests in the form of the dreaded dust bunny!
The thing I like the best about this filter is it's very easy to remove due to the mounting option is magnets. And just lightly tap it against a table outside to remove the dust, or for harder stuck on dust take a vacuum to it or use an air compressor to blow the dust out from the intake side.
Overall it holds well, and filters great. Easy installation and easier dismantle for when I need to clean the dust off.
The magnets make it a snap to both install and remove for cleaning. The mesh is fine enough to prevent pet hair and the majority of dust bunnies access to your sensitive components. I haven't noticed any significant decrease in airflow. The frame was sturdy and the product appears to be made well.
This is a cheaper alternative to Demciflex filters for places that don't require large areas. I did have to order a Demciflex for the side of my daughter's Corsair case because the 200 mm fan grid is HUGE. But this Silverstone works great for more standard fan combinations. I'm very happy with this purchase.
The only con to me is the seemingly extra pieces of plastic included in the design.(See pic upload)
To me, they just take away surface are that the air could use to go through. Regardless, I'm satisfied with the purchase. Good price. (Of course, cheaper won't hurt... the consumers anyway.)
By the way, make sure take the given product measurements and check to see if it will fit where you want to place the filter. It is kinda big after all.
Some of the issues is my case the Rosewill SECC Steel USB 3.0 Mid Tower Case for Computer REDBONE U3 which does not have a flat side. Its raised in the middle which does not allow for full contact with the filter. I feel this could be mitigated if it contained more magnets or stronger magnets.
I would still recommend this as the price is so low that if it does not work you did not spend that much money on it.
The only problem is TOO MANY PLASTIC RIBS. They obstruct airflow, probably by introducing turbulence. They are absolutely unnecessary - this thing could have 1/3 as many and still be stable and sturdy.

Does what it's suppose to do. I bought it and set it on the top vent of Corsair 300r case. Fits perfectly.Published 2 hours ago by John

I own the "Corsair Carbide Air 540 Series" PC Case and for some reason they only included a dust cover for the front fans so I needed one for the top fans. Read morePublished 1 month ago by DunnDunn

It's magnetic and it has trapped dust. the holes are small enough to not let anything through, but big enough to not restrict air flow.Published 1 month ago by Yaphet Gettaclue
Kinda cool, with the magnets and all, but I ended up not using it because it didn't match my build and I couldn't cut it to size because of how they did the wholes.Published 1 month ago by FoxX
Very nifty for minimizing dust build up. Meant for a good size PC case with dual fans on top, I like it and it is magnetic and looks good. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Razornoodle
