Windows 7 x64 recognized this card just fine and didn't even need to reboot. If you happen to have a Silverstone or other case with USB 3.0 front ports and no internal connector on your motherboard, then this is the card for you.

Worked great for a few days, now it doesn't recognize any devices plugged into it. Tried everything, new drivers, reinstalling windows, you name it.I guess I got a lemon this time, it happens, but it makes me wonder about ever ordering items from silverstone again. Not to mention Amazon, I'm thrilled with their shipping, but this is the second item I have ordered that is defective. I have ordered PC parts for years from Newegg and never had a single problem. If this doesn't get resolved to my satisfaction I'm done with amazon et al.

This card did what I needed: I have a case with a USB-3 port on the front but no header on the MB even though it has 2 USB-3 ports onboard. After installing drivers, it works great. You do need the molex connector for power, but most power supplies still have these.

This card was supposed to upgrade my new PC to USB 3.0, but did not. INTEL directed me to Silverstone for a driver, but I have heard nothing from them, up until now. Without a driver, the USB3 port works, but CANNOT be used on USB3 capable devices. In addition I have to acknowledge when I use my one USB3 device on a nearby USB2 port that YES, I KNOW THAT I HAVE A FASTER PORT, BUT THE BLASTED PORT DOES NOT WORK. AVOID THIS PRODUCT FOR NOW. I WASTED TIME AND MONEY ON IT.
