Product Description

The NT06-PRO is a completely redesigned cooler based on the NT06-E. It has optimized heatsink fins soldered onto six 6mm thick copper heat pipes to provide more contact to produce higher efficiency rate of heat dissipation. A new, compact 120mm PWM fan with excellent balance of airflow and noise is included to provide forced-air heat dissipation with the ability to cool components around the CPU area. For users requiring high performance cooling with specific space requirements, the NT06-PRO is the best choice.

I got this HSF as I needed something a little lower in height to replace my stock Intel cooler. I was putting this into a Silverstone SG07 case on a H67 mITX motherboard. If you know how the sockets on H67 mITX board are, this cooler might scare you away. Fear not, if you install this cooler with the pipe towards the GPU, they get close, but do not touch. Also, I installed the fan on the bottom and it cleared my HyperX Black standard height RAM. The top of the cooler comes right up to the SATA connections on my HDD. With some planning, I was able to have the correct power connector on the HDD so everything played nice. All that said an done, it was a pain to mount the bugger. This was due to needing to the line up the screw holes under the cooler with no way to get my big hands in there. Everything packed in like a sardine, I am getting cooler temps, and like the look (a bit thats all you see) better than the stock cooler.

I am using this in a Silverstone SG05. Fits between the CPU and Power supply with a few mm to spare. The included 120x20mm fan works well, but mine was making a ticking noise and got a bit loud at higher speeds. I was able to use a 25mm thick Corsair SP120 which still cleared the RAM and also has a higher static pressure while running quieter too. This setup is cooling an i7-2600K SB.

I had to get a little creative installing this in an SG05 case. There just wasn't enough room to get my hands in there to put the crossbar on the base screw-down pins and hold the whole thing in place at the same time. So, I super-glued the crossbar to the top of the plate on the fins part. Then it stayed in position while I screwed it down.
I'm using this computer as a Protein Folding machine and the CPU now runs at 100% 24 hours a day and does not overheat.

Would not fit on a Gigabyte Z77N-Wifi, but will keep it around for my next upgrade as it semes to have excellent build quality and great reviews!
