Featuring a classic single cutaway sculpted body and a pair of absolutely crankin' humbuckers, the SSL1 Session Master Special is a blast to play. The SSL1 has a just-wide-enough slim neck design that is very comfortable (and very fast) and the sculpted heel at the deep-set bolt-on neck joint makes reaching the upper frets effortless. The SSL1 is equipped with a sustain-crazy tune-o-matic bridge, precision die-cast tuners, and the classic 2-volume/2-tone control set up with the 3-way pickup selector up on top where it's supposed to be.

I am only writing this for lack of other reviews. I am not a great guitarist by any means and have little to compare this to but from my understanding it's a pretty amazing starter guitar. My friends who actually do play quite a bit of guitar (and with much more skill than I) love it and out of the 5 guitars that our band has, it is one of the two we use for shows,the other being an Epiphone Les Paul and you can't really compare a starter level guitar to that. Can't comment on the package deal seeing as I only have the guitar but this guitar has good sustain with comfortable neck (obviously that is open to different opinions)
