A Great Way To Teach Your Children About Belief and Faith, February 20, 2006
This review is from: The Silverwing Trilogy (Boxed Set): Silverwing; Sunwing; Firewing (Paperback)
I bought these books to read to my 7 year old daughter - thinking that they would be exciting and fun. While they *were* exciting and fun, I was also surprised about the depths the book took in terms on religion, philosophy, beliefs, and faiths. I thought the books did an excellent job of teaching why people sometimes choose to believe the things they do - and the consequences of those choices.
The books were a little bit scary sometimes - but nothing my 7 year old couldn't handle. I highly recommend these books.

The Silverwing Trilogy: An Original Action Series, February 4, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Silverwing Trilogy (Boxed Set): Silverwing; Sunwing; Firewing (Paperback)
I first read Silverwing for my reading group at school. In fact, it wasn't even a group- no one but me wanted to read it, so I was my own book! Those people do not know what they're missing. Silverwing was great, so right away I went out and bought Sunwing. It was even better than the first. Finally I bought and read Firewing, which was awesome but now as good as the first two. This is one of my favorite series! My favorite in the series is Sunwing, because it ties everything up. It seems like Firewing was just written so the question "what happens next" is answered. It is still good. After reading this trilogy, you will never look at bats the same way again!

Good For All Ages!, November 6, 2006
This review is from: The Silverwing Trilogy (Boxed Set): Silverwing; Sunwing; Firewing (Paperback)
I originally saw the series with my little cousin whose 9 on Toon Disney.
At first I was skeptical, but then the story grabbed me. Well I decided it was immature to stay up and watch a cartoon. So I did some research and found this amazing trilogy. So much too it. Sometimes I feel it gets a bit violent from the problems Shade faces, however this book puts a lot of problems most people face and how this runty bat overcame those obstacles in his life.
I'm 20 years old, but boy did I get captured by these amazing tales!
Don't be a skeptic. Read it for yourself!
