I must say I am a great fan of Marcovici as Her performance ia a nothing short of a setting standard for many performers to follow. Its simply a spectacular and magnificent. My favorite is no less then her performance of Tchaikovsky violin concerto from her early years (age 28?) as well as Saint-Saens violin concerto. Her performance of Tchaikovsky concerto is just nothing short of brilliant excution, and interpretation of piece, I wonder where other performers been all this years? She clearly is in my view, sets the all time standard of how this music is to be played. Only other person I find spectacular as her is the performed by Heifetz. If you dont know silvia Marcovici thats prob. because like I was she is mostly famous in european continent. THIS is a must listening piece. It will make tears! Bravo.

Silvia Marcovici is a wonderful player. I found the CDs better than the DVD in terms of overall sound quality
