I used this program several years ago when I ran the computer lab in an elementary school. The kids loved it. Recently, I bought it for my granddaughter. I was SO disappointed when it came. It will only run on Windows 95 or lower. Sim City tends to be too hard for younger children to use independently and enjoy. Sim Town was great. I'd love to see it updated for the newer systems. Don't waste your money if you have a system newer than Windows 95.

It is a fine game for young children to learn how to play the bigger Sim games.

My children absolutely love this game, including the 19-year-old. Sim City is a little too complicated for them, but Sim Town really hits the spot.

Okay, I've never played Sims City, but I've played The Sims 2 and Sims 1. First question, I have a laptop, and I'm not sure what type it is or anything, but will Sim Town (PC) work on my laptop?
2. When you play Sim Town, can you control your sims? 3. Can you play with your Sims in their houses, like you can in Sims 1 and 2? 4. I'm eleven years old, and the age range says 6-10, but would it be too kiddish for me? My mom is uncomfortable with me playing Sims 2 because of the adult content. Thanks, you can reply to answer these questions!!! I really want to know, because I have Sim Towm for windows, and it doesnt work for my laptop, so I'm frustrated that I cant play it. :-( --------Sims4Ever---------

Oh yea, my fave! its almost a twin to SIMCITY, but my computer wont let me play it so i only play this one. The whole thing is you buy buildings and houses. You can also design a charcter and name em'. It can be either gender, and they come with a family. You can pick their interests too, and they bike ride, rollerskate, and play basketball. You can peek into the buildings, but i dont remember if it were only houses. Families move in, and they wander the streets. Follow them to school or work, and to the store, or back home. I play it for role playing. But if you like this game, you would also like SIM SAFARI, and SIMPARK. Im gonna buy all 3 again cause i lost it! I hope you decide to too!
