This review is from: Sima Products WX-150 Emergency Alert Radio (Electronics)
This item worked perfectly through our recent tornado and flood disasters, waking us up with a gentle beep beep beep, and then the broadcast alert announcement. When you set it up, it takes about 15 minutes to program, since you have to put in a county code, and then tick off which alerts you want to hear, e.g., mud slide, avalanche, flood, tornado, tidal wave, etc, and which level (warning, watch) for each. If someone can't figue out a VCR, they will hate this one. But its the only way to avoid all the annoying warnings that don't apply to your situation (e.g., you don't need to know about flood warnings if you live at higher elevations in your county).
