Creates a background humming noise and the range is poor as well. Would NOT recommend this product. Will be returning it to the store (BB) immediately. I see good reviews for the AUDIO TECHNICA PRO88W-R35 Microphone so I may give that a try.

Do NOT buy this product. Regardless of the resellers - it's not worth it. I admit, it sounded like a good deal. I read the review about humming and thought it might have been because a power source was plugged into the camcorder while recording audio from a mic (sometimes that happens) - this was not the case. There's something in the transmitter or reciever that gives off a -15 dB to -12 dB hum. Very annoying when all sound is around -6 to begin with. You cannot get away from the hum! AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COST!!! Beginner or advanced videographer, go with anything else.

I got this item to serve as a back-up microphone on a back-up video camera I was using for a video I was shooting at work. Well, The main camera's mic went down and was I glad that I had purchased the Sima Wireless Mic. It saved me in a bind and also saved me thousands of dollars in production and down time. It performed better than many other mics I have used....plus the price was perfect. I also had amazing service from seller as well!

this is the worst wireless microphone ever invented. if its not producing a loud humming sound, the sound is grainy. ANYTHING would be better than this

Well technically It works, and if you take the microphone off the transmitter and plug it straight into your camcorder it actually sounds pretty decent, BUT when you use it for its INTENDED purpose as a WIRELESS microphone, there is an incessant hum that seems to come from the transmitter and there's no way to stop it. It also sounds a bit distorted and there is some crackling noise too. The gain is high enough to pick up your speaker's voice easily, and maybe even just a little too high given the slight distortion, and it sounds like it would be wonderful to use if only that horrible background noise weren't there and it wasn't a bit distorted. I almost want to keep the microphone and just not use the transmitter, but I'd really like my $104.99 back. I expected better than this from Best Buy.

I gave this one star because I couldn't give it a negative number. It has a hum that is so rediculas that this thing shouldn't be on the market. Had it not been 2 months ago when I purchased it, I would take it back. I wish I tried it sooner. This will go in the trash can. It is useless.

This product should not be purchased because it's true..i just purchased this unit and there is an annoying humming and reception sound coming very hard..very annoying

turning them both on at the same time As per instructions...mine works perfect on a Panasonic MINI DV tape camcorder model PV-GS15
No noise just clear reception,Don't be ascared of this cool wireless Mic!!!!! I think connecting to the camera first and then tuning them on together was the trick too it working correctly{maybe just positive thinking I don't know?} I just know mine works wonderful!!!!!
