5.0 out of 5 stars rugged litte inverter, quiet.
This little converter is unique. Yes it only puts out 150 watts. BUT it is the only one I have found that has no noisy fan. It is silent as the night. I had it run a small 15" lcd tv and satellite receiver in my RV. When I upgraded the TV to a 22" LCD with built in DVD player, adding the satellite receiver it struggled. Every once in awhile it would make a beep noise...

1.0 out of 5 stars VERY POOR QUALITY
This is a VERY poor quality device. It could not power my laptop (90 watt power supply) for more than 5-10 minutes without kicking out the circuit breaker and needing to be reset even if I shut down all but essential processes on the laptop. I found that others have had same complaint with this product regardless of where it was purchased. I replaced with a 90 watt...

Every once in awhile it would make a beep noise and the TV would turn off. I knew I needed to upgrade to a little bigger one. I have tried a few 300-400 watt models but the fan noise is too loud, you can hear it. Distracting while watching a movie. I'm considering just running two of these STP-150 (one for each piece of gear) to keep things silent. This little things grunts out plenty of power I was surprised.

I have used this converter several times with the recharging of my laptop and cell phones while traveling in my van. It has worked flawlessly and it has not put a strain on the van's electrical system. I am very pleased with this converter.

I posted a comment to the 1 star review, but decided I should post a review of my own, since I've had a lot of
experience with this inverter. The important thing to note is that this inverter provides 75W to each of it's 2 outlets, thereby offering 150W. If a device requires more than 75W, this inverter won't be for you. I have used this inverter in my RV for 7yrs and it has been totally quiet and reliable. My TV, satellite receiver, DVD player and various battery chargers have all worked fine with it, even though it is not pure sign wave.

I found that others have had same complaint with this product regardless of where it was purchased. I replaced with a 90 watt (small) inverter that also had a USB plug and it powers my laptop with no problem. I WOULD AVOID THIS PRODUCT.
