I'm not a trumpet player but play the guitar. I've been interested in playing the trumpet so I bought this one. I'm not disapointed. Its a simpler construction than the $1000+ trumpets at my local music store but it is a real instrument and I've been successful in playing it. I've shown it to a professional trumpet player who gave it thumbs up and was quite happy with the intonation. It comes in a good hard case with a 7C mouthpiece and valve oil. You'll need to get a better valve oil than comes with it (make quite some difference for me) and some slide grease.

This is a pretty good horn for beginners, but i would not suggest this to an intermediate or advanced trumpeteer. I used a little, but now its at my old school being used by 5th graders.
