Dry & Inflamed Eyes,
By
This review is from: Similasan Allergy Eye Relief Eye Drops, .33 Ounce Bottle (Health and Beauty)
These Similasan Allergy Eye drops are the only thing that has helped my dry eyes.
My eyes had been so dry, they were tearing, inflamed and painful all the time. A top eye Dr. at Mass General tested my eyes & said they were extremely dry. He never tested me for allergies or mentioned this product. He immediately put plugs in my eyes, which caused a terrible allergic reaction. He said he had never seen this reaction. He had also given me Restasis (prescription). Another top eye Dr. in NYC also prescribed Restasis. (He did not test for allergies either). The Restasis did not work. I tried many over the counter Dry Eye products, and nothing worked. Finally, my sister mentioned that maybe the dry eye was caused by allergies. I went to a local health food store & bought both the Similasan Dry Eye & Allergy Eye drops. The Dry Eye product did not work, but the Allergy Eye product is amazing. I did research & probably have a condition called Blepharitis...common in fair people of Irish/German descent. Occusoft eye pads & eye wash help too. (Available at CVS, Duane Reade, etc). You need to be your own Dr.

This did nothing for my watery eyes. It relieved the redness a teeny tiny bit but nothing to write home about. Try Opcon-A by Bausch & Lomb. It relieves watery eyes, redness and itch fast.

Read the label people!,

This item is clearly labeled as a homeopathic product, thus, a scam. Search for homeopathic preprarations and you will realize you are receiving 99.9999999% water or whatever buffer they are using. Stick with the regular chemicals people! Of course your eyes will receive some relief when you drop some liquid in them, but you are wasting your money with these products. . .

These drops do nothing for my itchy/watery eyes. I was happy to find a gentle holistic type formula but unfortunately it does not work. So far anything I try that is holistic, organic etc does not work as well as the normal stuff and these drops are another example. I am going back to Visine Allergy drops as they do work...and cheaper.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been using Similasan products for several years now. All the products I have tried work great, with no side effects. And this Allery Eye Drops are no exception. I will keep buying them.

I've always had allergies but this year my allergies have been worse than ever! My eyes are so irritated at times that it hurts to keep my eyes open. I had been using Visine for years and this year, I went through 2 bottles in a 2 weeks span. I was using Visine every 30 minutes, everyday, even though you're not supposed to use Visine more than 4 times a day.
My friend who works in the pharmaceutical field recommended I try Similasan. I was skeptical at first since I had used Visine for so many years. I tested it out and the difference was instantaneous. My eyes did not sting when first applying it, and the effect of the medication lasted far longer than Visine. It is also far more soothing than Visine. If you suffer from irritated eyes from allergies, then you have to try Similasan. Nothing else I've tried has compared to it!

I've had seasonal allergies my whole life. Even took daily antihistimines for years. Then found Similisan; was dubious but sick of the drugs' side effects. From rubbing and scratching myself almost blind, to two drops of this in each eye and it stops itching in 10 minutes. Dry spring days with lots of pollen start the itching; do the drops; no problem; can work outside.

works for us,
This review is from: Similasan Allergy Eye Relief Eye Drops, .33 Ounce Bottle (Health and Beauty)
My Dr advised me to try the Allergy Eye drops for my 2 year old son(now 10) and they worked. My husband and mother now use them and love how they work. I am not sure how they work but they do wonders for seasonal allergies here in texas. I have now purchased the dry eye relief and the sty eye just in case i need them. I found them at Walmart and Target in a single pack in case you dont need to buy three.

I would have been better off just using regular saline solution. I have yet to find eye allergy relief with this product. I bought this product in an attempt to avoid using regular allergy drops that would prevent me from wearing my contacts. I've noticed slight irritation in placing the contacts even thirty minutes after using allergy drops. In addition, since this product has to be replaced every thirty days, it is really not all that cost effective. Just stick to regular eye drops or see an eye physician.
