4.0 out of 5 stars Might help, can't hurt
It is difficult to assess the effectiveness of this product because everyone is different and if you use it, how do you know if your cataract growth has slowed down because of the product or is that just you. However, I have been using it for several months and according to my eye doctor, the one in my right eye has shrunk slightly. Why? Who knows. The one in my left...

3.0 out of 5 stars Trying everything to avoid or postpone surgery
I read in the Internet that cataract surgery has a negative outcome in 2% of patients, including loss of vision, glaucoma, detached retina, etc., and a 7.9% of 'vitreous loss'.

My eye doctor confirmed to me this percentage, but added that 'serious' complications, like loss of vision, are rare.

It is difficult to assess the effectiveness of this product because everyone is different and if you use it, how do you know if your cataract growth has slowed down because of the product or is that just you. However, I have been using it for several months and according to my eye doctor, the one in my right eye has shrunk slightly. Why? Who knows. The one in my left is a moving cataract and so is better at some times and worse at other times. The cataract in my left eye was all one piece and now is two. Why? Who knows. Since cataracts are caused by free radicals, among other things, it is possible that these drops can help with that. Everyone says cataract surgery is quick and painless and while that is true, I would much rather try a few months of these drops and see if it makes a difference. I would not discount something just because it has been around a long time.

I've been buying this product for my mother whose left eye was blurred. She described it as a white curtain over her eye. After using these drops for 3 months the blurriness started to decrease. I'm sure at some point she will need a surgery but so far we've been able to keep her comfortable with her vision and she's been able to read and do her regular activities. I think it's worth a try, depending on your stage of cataract.

My eye doctor confirmed to me this percentage, but added that 'serious' complications, like loss of vision, are rare.

Still, to me, this is a very high risk percentage. It is also a fact that the most common cataract surgery proceeding is emulsification. 50% of the patients going through this surgery procedure, after two years, will have the lens clouded as it was before the operation or worst, according also to medical reports available in the Internet. I also personally know some people that had several corrective surgeries after the first one. A never ending story.

Therefore, I decided to try anything and everything to avoid or postpone a surgery that seem to be somewhat dangerous and have so many drawbacks.

After a month of using this product I notice some improvement: less blurred vision and less halos around bright objects at night.

It is true that what works for one person may not work for the next. After I try this product for several months I promise to revise this review with the new information. Wish me luck.

This product is claimed to temporarily relieve symptoms of blurred vision due to cataracts. The blurring is caused by changes in the lens of the eye that prevent light from getting through. No eyedrops can modify the structure of the lens. The manufacturer's claims are based not on scientific evidence but on far-fetched notions that are over 200 years old.
