4.0 out of 5 stars Great Mattress Pad
I have tried all kinds of waterproof mattress pads ( I have two small children that often have accidents) and this is by far the best. It keeps its shape when being washed, thoroughly protects the mattress and doesn't feel or sound like plastic. I will definitely buy more of these for our other beds

3.0 out of 5 stars Crunchy and bunchy
I saw the reviews on this product and decided to purchase it. It does work ok, but is somewhat "crunchy"- not plastic-feeling like many others, but does take some getting used to. I find it also to be rather "bunchy". It forms a circle when you hold it up ready to put it on and never settles into the corners of the mattress like you would like it to. The advantage is...

5.0 out of 5 stars Simmons Beautyrest Waterproof Mattress Pad, March 15, 2007
This is one of two waterproof mattress pads that are used in my household. The other pad holds water when washed and takes forever to dry. The Simmons does neither. Washes and dries beautifully in addition to going on the mattress easier than the other.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice mattress pad!, November 2, 2006
By
I purchased two of these mattress pads when my second son graduated to a big boy bed. Wow - how nice! The sides fit the mattress snugly yet adjust for a great fit. The fill is amazing! A friend thought I bought a pillow top bed for my 2 year old, and was surprised to learn it was the mattress pad that made it so soft. It washes really nicely, too. I bought cheap waterproof pads for my first son, and they fell apart within a month of washing. Not this pad! I'm going to order another for my older son now - you know, just in case he gets sick in bed or something, plus it will make his bed much more comfortable. Great quality; great value.

3.0 out of 5 stars Crunchy and bunchy, May 16, 2007
I saw the reviews on this product and decided to purchase it. It does work ok, but is somewhat "crunchy"- not plastic-feeling like many others, but does take some getting used to. I find it also to be rather "bunchy". It forms a circle when you hold it up ready to put it on and never settles into the corners of the mattress like you would like it to. The advantage is that it does not easily come off, but it also does not ever lay flat on the mattress causing some bunching. We still use it, but I would rather it had a better fit and a less stiff feel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice mattress pad, January 3, 2007
We are happy with the mattress pad. You can't hear any crinkling noises when you move around in bed. It washes nicely, and so far, hasn't gotten stiff (I think we've had it about 4 months). But it seems to have shrunk a little bit in washing & you really have to pull & work on it to get it to not bunch up on the mattress, and that is the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating. I do like all the elastic along all four sides, making it able to fit a deep (or not so deep) mattress.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Product Slightly different than I thought, October 30, 2007
This review is from: Simmons Beautyrest Cotton Blend Waterproof with Laminate Twin Mattress Pad (Kitchen)
I was looking for the plastic backed matress pad and this one seemed to imply that in the description. When I got it there was no plastic lining to be seen. What I realized later is that the liner is inside the pad so you dont get all the crinkle noise etc. Well worth the money and seems to be working on my sons bed.

5.0 out of 5 stars very waterproof, no PVC, August 28, 2008

This review is from: Simmons Beautyrest Cotton Blend Waterproof with Laminate Twin Mattress Pad (Kitchen)
Pros: extremely waterproof; contains no PVC (hence no toxic fumes); soft cloth surface doesn't make sleepers sweaty

Cons: becomes oval shaped after washing and requires two people to put on bed; when washed sometimes collects water that needs to be dripped out before putting it in the dryer (this is easy to do)

5.0 out of 5 stars Held up to some serious hi-test urine!, November 10, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Simmons Beautyrest Cotton Blend Waterproof with Laminate Twin Mattress Pad (Kitchen)
Thanks to an obscure medical condition, our son's urine is highly acidic. Remember "Alien"? Remember the alien's acid blood that dissolved steel floors? That's what we're talking about.

Our last waterproof pad (and who are they kidding when they say "waterproof," as if you're worried about water!) lasted one night, after which our son's pee sizzled right through, ruining another mattress.

Thanks to it's Kevlar-Romex weave and carbon-nanotube construction, the Simmons pad was able to stop the urine better than any ordinary "water"proof pad. Highly recommended.

(Seriously, it's a mattress pad with a plastic lining. It works -- it stops the pee from soaking through. What more do you really want? :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Simmons Beautyrest Waterproof Cover, October 9, 2008
This review is from: Simmons Beautyrest Cotton Blend Waterproof with Laminate Twin Mattress Pad (Kitchen)
I ordered two of these from Amazon, one for each of my sons beds. My husband and I have the king size one on our bed and love it. I have washed it many times and it is still in like new condition. It has saved my mattress many times with the kids either being sick or having leaking diapers. When they got their "big boy beds" last month, the first thing I did was order these mattress pads for their beds. The comfort level of this product is great. I was a little apprehensive when we first got the one for our bed, thinking that it would have a plastic feel or just be uncomfortable. However, I can't tell any difference between this waterproof cover and standard cotton only covers. I would highly recomend this product.

We bought this pad for our 2 year-old son's twin bed and it was so nice that we later purchased one for our Queen sized bed. It is soft and doesn't crinkle and make noise like other pads we've had. It also washes in the machine really well. We've washed my son's once a week since we bought it (about 6 months) and it hasn't changed a bit, still appears to be in great condition. Both the twin and the queen fit our mattresses well.
