5.0 out of 5 stars Jan Foulke's Doll Books Are Wonderful!!
This book was written by my favorite antique doll expert. Mrs. Jan Foulke has been writing very informative doll books for a long time. This book is a fabulous guide about Simon & Halbig dolls. 3.0 out of 5 stars Simon & Halbig Dolls: The Artful Aspect
I was disappointed that more head mold numbers were not available. I will need to look elsewhere to continue my research.

This book was written by my favorite antique doll expert. Mrs. Jan Foulke has been writing very informative doll books for a long time. This book is a fabulous guide about Simon & Halbig dolls. It has lots of info on the company, the various marks used, the kinds of bodies the heads were paired with and shows dolls made for other companies such as Kammer & Reinhardt, Heinrich Handwerck, Jumeau, CM Bergmann, and a plethora of others.

It shows almost every model that was ever made and has lots of photos and info on each mold. This book has taught me a lot and has helped me identify dolls in my collection. In the back, the book also tells you what year each particular mold was created. Not only is this a highly recommended reference, it is a beautiful hardcover book as well.

If you like antique German bisque head dolls, especially ones made by S&H, this book would be a wonderful one to add to your collection. I also have her Kestner: King Of Doll Makers book too. It is just like this book and I simply adore it. I am hoping she will come out with new ones one day because I can't get enough books on S&H and Kestner dolls.

Her doll price guide books are a must have as well. I buy them every year and am looking forward to buying her latest one soon.

This is THE book on Simon & Halbig dolls. A very neccessary book for your Doll Book Library. I would like to see this book re-released with better/more pictures, but this is a great book and glad I have it to refer to when needed.
