I am going to make this short......i never played the first 3 Simon games.to my surprise this was well done...lots of objects to pick up....combine stuff...the puzzles were easy to hard..with a couple wacky ones thrown in...but all were managable....controls worked good...graphics are very nice...colorful...the dialoge is short and interesting...this game is a must buy for any hardcore adventure gamer.this comes from a gamer who likes...tunguska,broken sword, vampyre story, jack keane, dracula origins...

If you enjoyed the original three-- or even at least the original two-- then this game is probably still not for you. I quite enjoyed the first three. I know the third one was buggy, but it was also hilarious. This is just awful. The writing feels much more contrived, the acting is borderline horrendous, and the puzzles are too easy. I'm not the type of person who is generally overly critical of games, and I do love a good point and click adventure. But the badly faked American accent, excessively cheesy acting, and poor puzzles nearly killed this whole series for me. And FYI, the fifth one is horrible, too. And I really, really, really wanted the later ones to be good, too. I do, however, recommend the earlier ones. Especially if you enjoy old school gaming. Simon is rude and, I must say, very entertaining. They have that pixelly old school feel of playing a fantasy version of SpaceQuest. No, scratch that, it's like playing King's Quest where the royal family has been replaced with a cross between American Idol's Simon Cowell and a twelve year old boy kleptomaniac boy who has just discovered firecrackers and naughty humor. So play the series, yes. But stop at three. And I must say, three is buggy-- you've been warned. But if you can get it to work properly, in my opinion, it's the funniest of the three. Four and five, however, will crush your dreams, steal your candy, and then laugh at you in a horrendously fake American accent. Don't touch them with a ten foot pole. They bite.

This is reminiscent of the old "Kings Quest" series games! If you like adventure, fun and an overall good time, you will really like this game. It has built in "hints" and gives you just enough to continue your quest without giving much away. One of the better games I have played. We need more like this.
