The CD description is spot on. This release is Simon's greatest hits from his earlier Stir Music releases as well as additionsl live and studio tracks as bonus material.

This CD rocks!!

Simon has been making music for most of his life and is an exceptional musician and lyricist. His first Stir Music release, Among Us, began his current guitar rock style that has continued since. Accompanying his music are personal lyrics that describe his emotions, trials, tribulations, loves lost and found. Basically, songs that everyone can relate to.

In addition to the audio sample, Save Me From Me (which perfectly captures the essence of this CD), other personal favorites are Raised and When She Sleeps.

Give the sample a listen and enjoy. Then buy the CD and enjoy more!!

Simon Townshend is Pete ' Brother and he is a very talented musician and composer on his own. His first solo record was produced by Pete in 1985? and is still unavailable on cd and in my opinion was and still is his best recorded work. it contained songs like "Palace in the Air", "Scafolding" and "I am the answer" (later re-recorded for one of his solo cds and included on this one). Simon has a long recorded history but very erratic and hard to find (the first ones). This is a good way to start because includes music from his solo cds recorded more recently for his own label.

Simon Townshend first broke out during the mid-80's with a nice solo album caled Sweet Sound. He sounds an awful lot like his big brother, Pete (of the Who) and that album had a bunch of great songs (particularly "I'm The Answer"). That song is redone here in an abbreviated form; it's still good just lacking all the overblown 80's frills and drum machines. Since Sweet Sound has yet to be released on CD, this is the only place I could find "Answer." The rest is decent pop/rock songwriting craftsmanship. Of course, as he ages, Simon will probably never break free of Pete's shadow, so he will remain a cult hero. Check it out if only for the family connection...
