I live in France and married to a Frenchman. Cooking is very important and I have surprised my French family with my cooking skills - and the recipies from Simple French Cooking. This is the first book I head to every time we have a special dinner... the recipies are excellent and without all the time and complicated procedures many new French recipie books seem to have.
