Each track on this gorgeous CD offers the listener something different (and unexpected). This classically trained quartet offers a refreshing respite from the same old jazz standards. Groovy, beautiful sound.

Terry Klinefelter is an extremely gifted pianist whose CD, Simple Gifts, stirs the imagination. The harmonic and chordal changes are unusual and beautiful, especially in the first, title tune. Paul Klinefelter (Terry's husband?) also performs on bass, and is the composer of the second tune, "Camel Humps." All the instrumentalists are great! A lovely, unusual CD
