These bags leak!
Dana
I think the problem is that if you pull on the seam a little as you open the bag, it tears invisibly then leaks at the top when you turn the bag on its side.
CW
The bags store better and stack better in my freezer when I lay them flat.

We have used four brands of breastmilk storage bags: Nuk, Honeysuckle, Medela, and Lansinoh. It's worth noting that we haven't had a leak with any of the bags, but we primarily use them for refrigeration. Based on other reviews, the "true" test of the bags seems to be freezing and subsequently thawing them. We have frozen and thawed a few of each brand with no leakage.

Nuk: These are our favorites. They are slightly smaller (maybe half a centimeter?) than Honeysuckle and Lansinoh bags, but you're not supposed to put more than 6 ounces in any of them anyway. They stand up the best, which is very convenient when pouring milk into them. I do hold the bags while I pour it in, but every now and then I lose my grip and these don't fall over like the Honeysuckle and Lansinoh bags. The plastic is thicker than the Lansinoh bags. These are also available at Wal-Mart, which is convenient if you can't wait for an amazon order to be delivered. The area where you write on is clear, and it's white with the other bags. I prefer the white background, but that's because I have black countertops. Small potatoes, though. The measurement is pretty close to the Medela bottles I pump in to. These are usually about 18-20 cents a bag depending on the quantity you purchase.

Honeysuckle: Our second favorite, these bags have more of a vinyl feel than a plastic feel. They're floppier than the Nuk bags, but more sturdy than the Lansinoh bags. The seal makes a clicking sound (like a Ziploc bag) when sealed, which is nice. The Nuk bags don't make that sound. My husband has had issues with the bags dripping milk out of the seal area when pouring instead of about a centimeter above the seal, where it is supposed to pour out of.

These are terrible. I used about 8 of them and all but 1 leaked everywhere!!! I threw the rest away and went back to one of the more known brands L.....h. I use them for broth storage in my freezer when I make it to freeze in 1 cup increments. I lost a lot of broth, but I would have been beyond upset had I been using them for milk I pumped! (note: the broth is cool when I put it into the bags so that was not the cause of the leaks).

Every bag I used leaked, I gave up on the product after using only a few bags because of this leakage problem. I came to the conclusion that my batch must have been defective & that I am only going to use Medela or Lansinoh milk storage bags since I never had a problem with those brands.

The design is similar to Lansinoh's but Honeysuckle bag is thicker than Lansinoh's, which leaked on me several times when I was breastfeeding my 2nd. I'm on my 3rd and wish I'd discovered Honeysuckle sooner. For my 1st, my favourite bag was by a Japanese brand, Pigeon, which had bags that you ziplock, fold over twice then paste a sticky label on and you had tear a corner off the bottom to pour the milk out. I actually loved those but they were discontinued - now their bags look like Lansinoh's and Honeysuckle's and cost more. For info, I've also tried Avent, First Years and several Korean brands like Blue Egg and Unimom.

Honeysuckle is it for me. I should have bought the 300-pack at a go. Instead I bought 200 then had to come back for another 100 and ended up paying more per bag.

These bags are amazing. I have been through quite a few different brands and these are the only bags that haven't had a single leak. I fill each one to about 4 oz cause my babe doesn't ever drink more than that at a time and I lay them flat to freeze and then stand them up once they are frozen. I would willingly spend more on these bags because I feel they are worth it to avoid the leaks but the fact that they are so inexpensive is an added bonus, plus they are biodegradable! Once you try these bags you won't use any other brand again.

I've used a few brands of bags, and these are my favorite. Here's why: (1) They're large. (2) They stack well. (3) Good quality bag that doesn't tear or leak easily. (4) Wide, easy to use opening for pouring milk in or out. (5) They have a double-seal thingy at the top, so I'm completely confident about the seal. (6) They're recyclable.
I will continue buying these as long as I continue freezing milk.

These are my favorite! They hold a lot of milk, which is good bc I pumped a lot at once and they are environmentally friendly. However, they do micro tear of they are not smooth when set in the freezer so just set in carefully. If they weren't torn they defrosted in warm water very easily.
