This devotional book is excellent!!! It doesn't matter whether you are Amish, English, (Methodist, Baptist, Catholic...ect.) This book is inspirational and well written!! I recommend it to anyone alone with all of the rest of Wanda E. Brunstetter's books and Beverly Lewis!! I am working towards reading them ALL!!! Excellent way to keep a positive attitude about life and find ways to simplify your own life! We all need to simplify!!!!! Thanks for some great reading Wanda!

Wanda E. Brunstetter has done it again! This lovely little devotional book on thoughts from Amish County is such a refreshing and spirit building read. It calms my soul on a hectic day. It helps to bring me back down to earth when I let the little things in life bother me. This is such an uplifting book! This treasure will make your heart sing! I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars! As I do...so to will you...treasure it.

This book is very nice. I like the stories in it as they are about 2-3 pages long for each devotional At the end of each story there is a nice Amish recipe included. Very much worth the $4.97 I paid and it shipped FREE because I am a Amazon Prime member.

This is a book that really takes you to the basics of life and slows the pace down to see God's work in our lives.

The Simple Life is such a lovely book. Perfect for a "Thinking Of You" gift for someone. My only complaint is that the stories are too short - I wanted more. I love the scripture verse that went along with each story, and the recipe included was an added bonus. All in all, I am quite pleased with this book and would recommend it to others.

Electricity, skyscrapers, and automobiles are all vastly overrated. "The Simple Life: Devotional Thoughts from Amish Country" is a collection of the simple wisdom used by the Amish people. Brunstetter is not Amish herself, but became fascinated with the culture when visiting her in laws within the community. With sixty meditations, Brunstetter draws a picture of a simpler life to be embraced by all. "The Simple Life" preaches a solid message that complexity is not always the best.

I find this book to be such a great help to me in my daily life, I recently lost my 18 year old grandson in a car wreck, it's a great lost to our whole family, but Wanda's devotional has really helped me in many ways. I recommend this book to anyone, it can only inprove their spititual life.

I love this devotional! It helps me to slow down and enjoy life and all God has given to me. I have gone through the book once already, and now I am reading it again, but this time I'm sharing it with my husband. He is also enjoying it. The recipes at the end of each devotional are a nice addition. I have even tried a few!

Awesome!! Just getting back to asking Christ back into my life and in the process of getting my husband to accept Christ as his savor, this has been a most inspiring book. It just puts life in the simple form, one you can relate to on a day to day basis. Sometimes we just get lost in the scripture but this has really been refreshing to have scripture along with real life circumstances. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful gift of writing with the world and please continue.

This is a very interesting book about the Amish life. It has recipes and tells you how and why The Amish live the way they do. Keeps you reading. Type of book that you can't put down till you finish it and one that you can go back and read over and over again.
