Book Description

Need a bit more simple in your life but unsure where to start? Simple Living is written for you. Using minimalist principles I have created a 30 day course, taking less than 1 hour a day that I guarantee will give you a simpler life.

Simple Living‘s 30 days balances both tangible clutter as well as intangible clutter. This is not a course about cleaning. This course and these lessons are about change. Not only will you have a simpler and cleaner home after this course but the steps have been put in place for it to stay that way.

This course is created to tackle thirty different clutter areas, showing you where they are and how to start working with them. After the course you will have the skills and tools to keep working in the areas that you personally still need to work in.

This course is created to answer the question “Where do I begin?” and “How do I start?”

If you will commit to 60 minutes for 30 days I guarantee you will see dramatic change.

Simple Living is written by writer and minimalist Lorilee Lippincott who is the author of and 321 Stop – stop running and start living.

5.0 out of 5 stars What is Your American Dream? September 24, 2012
Simple Living 30 days to less stuff and more life is both a practical and spiritual guide. Lorilee Lippincott leads you through your home and your finances asking you questions that not only allow you to clear the physical clutter in your life, but also to get you to think about which cultural values you have taken on that really don't support your personal priorities.

This book is a healthy challenge to our consumer driven ideas of the American Dream. I recommend Simple Living... to anyone who wants to clarify his values and lead a life focused on what personally matters most to you.

3.0 out of 5 stars If you're not too disorganized... May 16, 2013

If you are behind in any of her idea of what "your typical amount of household clutter' is, good luck with her time lines for the daily tasks, much less her extra credit assignments. I would say this book might be alright for someone with a tidy home that knows nothing of muddy dogs and children running through the house after you just finished the floors, or the other daily dose of mayhem that young boys & their dogs bring with them, especially after a long day at work. Some of the ideas are good places to start, but as a whole, this book and her recommendations just aren't very practical for my family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!! September 24, 2012
I picked this book up a couple of weeks ago and it has helped me in my simplification process so much. It has straight-forward suggestions on how to get, not only your home, but your life in order. The way the plan is set up is easy to follow and stay motivated to continue working through the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lifesaver in a sea of stuff September 24, 2012
If you feel like you're drowning, maybe you stuff. Not just material stuff, but emotional stuff, schedule stuff, habit stuff. The stuff that steals your peace and joy. The stuff that you won't miss if you get rid of it, either en masse or a little at a time. Lorilee's book will walk you through 30 days of decluttering, leaving you room to breathe at the end. A great step-by-step approach to a simpler life.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ok , but... September 24, 2012

This is an okay book. I expected a little more from it,as most of the suggestions I have already done. I'm glad it was only.99
I think most people would get more from Flylady, as I do. I follow her daily suggestions , so none of this book was new to me.
I also, don't know why some of these minimalists are interjecting the whole Jesus or the Christ thing. I am totally a minimalist and an atheist,so why add the the religious thing.

I read this through quickly, then went back and followed the tasks one per day. It helps to keep me moving towards my goal of simplifying my life. Now if I could only get my husband to go along with the concept, lol.
