He features a multitude of stimulating examples drawn from literary texts and contemporary culture, from figures as varied as Voltaire, Confucius, and Bart Simpson.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Logical, December 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Simple Logic (Hardcover)
This textbook has all of the makings of a pretty standard textbook. It wasn't necessarily a gripping read by any means, but definitely a great learning tool. I used this book while taking a logic class at Santa Barbara City College. I found logic to be very similar to math. Having the book handy during class is probably the main reason I passed the class because it was pretty difficult. The book manages to illustrate the lessons in a fairly straight forward and easy to learn manner. Good book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Literary Masterpiece, August 16, 2000

This review is from: Simple Logic (Hardcover)
This is one of the most thought provoking books I have ever read. Bonevac's prose are masterful...you literally hang on every word. He somehow translates intellectually difficult topics into practical, easy to understand examples. This book is a bargain at any price. I am a changed man for reading it...Thank you Dr. Bonevac! I have already ordered some of your other works and eagerly look forward to reading them with the same intellectual vigor. Viva Bonevac!
