Learn building skills
Kids love putting together the 5 simple machines. They see examples of them everywhere in daily life, and have gained curiosity for the mechanics of how things work. Ties into all sorts of thematic learning, like laws of physics, or how they built the ancient pyramids. Fun bonding for kids and parents, creates a thirst for learning. Enjoy!

A Teacher's View
I purchased this set to use in my fourth grade classroom. Simple machines are much easier to understand if students are able to experience them. This set allows that experience to a degree, but it just does not hold up to repeated use. Additionally, a few of the simple machines do not illustrate the concept as well as they could. I purchased this set to use in my fourth grade classroom. Simple machines are much easier to understand if students are able to experience them.
