This song was very well written and performed by Lynard Skynard and as I was always in such awe of that production I never thought to look for any cover of it; in fact, it was only pure blind luck that led me to Shinedown and the vocal talents of Brent Smith. The depth and range of his voice across the content of this song are just remarkable.
My best advice would be for EVERY parent to think about gifting this version to their son...

This is way over done. It is nothing compared to the original by Lynnard Skynnard. Sounds just like the usual beer joint cover band.
