5.0 out of 5 stars raw & refined -- These are true musicians!, August 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Simple Men Who Like to Work With (Audio CD)
Title track is a rocking paene for the greatness of decent blue-collar work and bread-and-butter philosophies. The music will appeal to any who appreciate a dynamic conversation between a guitar and drum kit (there's no buttons or programmed fillers for these guys), as well as the soul who seeks simple and loud expression for the everyday human experience. Steel Wool's original music is terrific, but the cover of "Ramblin' Man" that they laid down for this CD is a great example of their cohesiveness as a band -- allowing the great-ranging vocals to make an impression that you will love to play over in your head.
