a little trimming is all that's needed,

What a beautiful book! I've never seen this kind of plane before in any other origami book. The designs are great, and every page is different. At first I found that the fold lines didn't line up, but then I noticed there was extra space at the top or bottom of each page. If you cut about 14 millimeters off the front of each page so that the designs touch the edges of the paper, all of the airplanes will work out perfectly. I hope the publisher will fix this in the next edition, but for now, a little trimming is all that's needed.

very frustrating even grown up can't figure it out. make you feel like you are not so smart afterall. they are poor illustrated. It looks really simple but when you really tried to fold them. I tried every single one of them and they don't come out right. What kind of fun is that? My son is tried and he gave up after 2 airplanes. We got it as a birthday present (I would return a book othwise).

Is there something less than zero?,
This review is from: Simple Origami Airplanes: FOLD 'EM & FLY 'EM! (Paperback)
I purchased this book thinking it would be fun to make airplanes with my grandaughter. This is the poorest excuse for a book I have ever purchased. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I wish I could get my money back. Mr. Dewar and Tuttle Publishing should be ashamed of producing such junk and asking people to pay for it.

I purchased this book as an activity for my husband to do with our children. What a disappointment. The perforated sheets are nice, but they don't line up correctly when you fold them. He tried three and gave up. He's a pretty skilled airplane folder in his own right, so this was not like it was supposed to be a challenge.
Try a different book. I know I will. |
