This book was used as a textbook for an accessory design class I took in college. The pictures in the book are helpful. I used their patterns with higher quality glass beads (than were shown in the book), and created some beautiful things. It is the perfect book to show you how to start this type of beading, and you can alter the simple patterns to make them more complex once you know these basics.

I've been wanting to learn how to make bead lace for a long time but never came across a book I thought was worth buying until this one. The instructions are excellent and the illustrations are large and clear. Everything is done in simple easy steps which makes it great for children and for adult novices alike. So far I have made "Julia's Loopy Necklace," a bracelet using the lace diamond pattern and the "Pagoda Earrings" (which actually look like little Christmas trees).

Patterns and instructions for a wide variety of pretty necklaces, chokers, earrings, bracelets and rings are included as well as detailed descriptions of materials plus beautiful photographs of finished pieces. This would be a terrific book for grandparents/parents/aunts and children to get so they can make lovely pieces of jewelery together.

Large and detailed sketches guarantee that you can follow the instructions for the bead lace in this book. Light on color pictures, heavy with ideas. Most laces are made with a single needle, but there are a few two needle laces at the end of the book. Good for beginners and advanced beaders - enjoy!

This is the best beading book that is on the market. From beginner to expert it's a great book for making jewelry from seed beeds.

This book has clear instructions, easy to follow for a beginner and good jumpstarts for the more experienced beader. I have been beading over ten years and enjoyed this book very much.

I have been searching for a good book on beaded lace patterns and I have found it! I have made a couple of the necklaces in the book and all in one evening! I have been getting rave reviews and telling all my beading friends about this wonderful, wonderful book!

I was highly disapointed with this book. Although the pictures are beautiful, many are variations on the instructions,which I found confusing. Although it was fairly easy to follow the thread path once I got going, it was VERY difficult to figure out where to start. I made up several items, and none meet up to my expectations, the loops don't "loop" and the necklaces don't drape.

I've been an avid beader for over 15 years now, but was looking for a book of simple netting for my 12 year-old daughter...I found it in this book! Ms. Harte explains the steps involved in clear, concise instructions with diagrams to further explain. My daughter and I both love the book!

This is a good book: big pictures and clear patterns. not a lot of projects but still usable.
The designs aren't amazing but with a little tweaking from you, like adding better seed beads and crystals, you can definitely come up with good looking jewelry.

Keep up the good work. Very clear pictuces and directions. Have made several in my own color choices.
