The author covers PR topics in a very down-to-earth way - illustrating her various points with "real-world" examples. I have read several books by highly-touted "PR professionals", but I easily learned more and got the most practical benefit from "Simple Publicity".

I am a very busy business owner and have much more than just PR to worry about. My biggest challenge is getting the most benefit from the relatively small amount of time that I can spend on PR and marketing during my weekly routine.

The best thing about this book is that it outlines tactics that are straightforward and easier to implement than any other PR book I've read to-date. That is why I find this book to be valuable - the tactics in it can show benefit with a relatively small time investment...

Melanie is a great publicist and PR pro and her book is full of great advice and "to do" lists. It is a great resource for all small businesses that need PR and don't know how to get it.
This is a fun book to read, an easy book to use, and any company or solopreneur can benefit from this.

This book really helped me think about how to get word out about my products -- and especially how to do it myself, without paying tons of money to someone else. From crafting pitches to thinking big-picture about how to present oneself, this book has a ton of useful ideas.

Being a small business owner money is an issue. Marketing and Publicity can cost big money. Simple Publicity gives a lot of good advice for a small amount of money.
