Yes I Can!, April 13, 2009
This review is from: The 3 Simple Secrets of Success after the Diploma: Integrity, Persistence, and Discipline (Paperback)
Thank you Dr. Dietz for writing a book that needed to be written. I love that it talks about Integrity, Persistence and Discipline. As my husband used to say, 'Too many people today, when they find a job, quit working.'
There is only one way to succeed and your book, 'The 3 Simple Secrets of Success after the Diploma: Integrity, Persistence, and Discipline' says it all.
Your experience in both the business and academia world makes you highly qualified to write this book and it is the perfect tool for anyone who really cares about being successful in today's world. I especially loved that you reminded us that 'we are all self-employed, no matter who signs your check'.
Thank you. Your book is well worth the read and, more importantly, tells us all how to live a better and more productive life.

Wonderful Reading Filled with Life Lessons, April 12, 2009
This review is from: The 3 Simple Secrets of Success after the Diploma: Integrity, Persistence, and Discipline (Paperback)
What wonderful reading...not only for college students but for anyone who wants to get ahead in life.
Ms. Dietz spoke to our organization recently and I was so taken with what she had to say that I purchased her book. I was so riveted I read it from cover to cover in one sitting.
There is one nugget after another of valuable insight into how to deal with the real world. She offers many emails from grateful students who have true appreciation for her teachings and explain how they have used them.
True to her title, she illustrates many times over, the benefits of integrity, persistence and discipline by quoting from famous people and current students. I love her down-to-earth style, which makes for easy, clear reading. One example of persistence is "just showing up". So many fail to do this simple act, that those who do show up, especially those with integrity and discipline, are way ahead of the game.
I can only assume the previous review was written by a disgruntled or failed former student who was unable to grasp the concept of this outstanding book.

Uninspiring and Disappointing..., June 8, 2008
This review is from: The 3 Simple Secrets of Success after the Diploma: Integrity, Persistence, and Discipline (Paperback)
As someone who is well educated, hard-working, and determined, I found this book uninspiring and disappointing. Although I have never had Ms. Dietz as a professor, I would feel confident stating this book is aimed towards individuals who need a push in order to achieve goals and have a positive mindset. Any hard-working person would not have to read this book in order to become inspired or have a fulfilling life.
Overall, this book is a waste of time, money, and energy with advice that is cliché. If she wanted to talk about herself, she should have written an autobiography although it would have probably had as good of a chance making the best seller list as this one did. It is almost as if this book was written for the author instead of readers to improve self-esteem about oneself. It is no wonder this book was self-published instead of being picked up by a reputable publishing firm. Bottom line--you can find similar information on the internet for free. Don't bother wasting your time, or even a penny on this disappointing, unexciting book.
