Hi ~ Tracy Munn here, well, sewing has been a life-long love of mine, I've been sewing since I was 12, and now have 48+ years under my belt! do the math!
When I was asked to write Sewing Simple Slipcovers, I first thought, holy cow! I can never do this. But with a wonderful editor, art diretor, illustrator, photographer, the finished result was mind-boggling.
As I stated in my book, "I hope all who find this book encouraging and enlightening will embrace some of the ideas I've presented and enhance their own environments." If it's not nailed down, you can slipcover it!
As a side light, three years ago, I started my own sewing school, The Sew Simply Academy, www.sewsimply.com, and teach anything and everything associated with learning to sew or just improving skills you already have. I have started teaching a lot of children and I have come to love sharing my talents with young ones and see them flourish in learning this wonderful skill.

I was quite pleased with this book. The author has detailed instructions on how to measure furniture and good color photos of examples. I liked her use of color and ordinary materials verus more traditional hard to work with fabrics. I would have liked more photos and more attention to sofas and sectionals. A lot of time was spend on covering dining chairs which I wasn't as interested in. Overall a good book.
