Today I was browsing for music, and I wanted to see what iTunes would suggest for me. I always try my favorite bands, so I typed "The Shins" into the search bar, and to my surprise, something new came up. A new album! By the Shins! Finally! If you're a Shins fan, you know how I felt.

So I clicked on it (after I was done freaking out and jumping for joy) and I played the preview for this song. My first impression was that this song wasn't as melodic as past Shins albums, but I still liked it. But soon, after listening to Wincing The Night Away, and then listening to the whole song on YouTube, I fell in love with it. It is the essence of The Shins, just a bit more rock-oriented. But now, taking a close look at it, it has the same melodic feel that past Shins albums, especially Wincing The Night Away, had. This is an excellent song, and it seems to foreshadow an excellent album to come.

Can't wait! But I would advise you NOT to buy or even listen to this song until the album comes out. I listened to all the songs that were pre-released when Codes and Keys by Death Cab for Cutie came out, but I now regret it because when the whole album came out, the songs I had already heard felt weird with the new songs together.
