There are musicians who just pick up a guitar and say, "Hey! I'm gonna write songs and make a record!" And then there are those who try to add a little something extra to their music. This is DEFINITELY an example of the latter. "The City" is a great opener to this EP. The lyrics without a doubt are very Paul Simon-esq and the piano licks are very distinctive. "Break Me Down" has a catchy melody and some great guitar overdubs. But the greatest of them all has to be "Simple 37" The melody hits you as soon as you start listening to it. If this EP featured a full backing band, I dare say it would be PHENOMENAL! Keep up the good work, Ross!

Ross Riskin is a name you will undoubtedly hear a lot of in the future.
It's difficult to find the gems in the rough in today's music scene. Much of what has been produced in recent years is long-winded and mundane, then there is Ross Riskin. In this digital album, he manages to produce intelligent, catchy and consistently solid music and lyrics. I have listened to his music in various mind-sets and moods, and he continues to deliver. Bottom line: You're only regret is not finding Ross Riskin sooner.

Ross Riskin's music belongs on ER, or HOUSE.... he is truly a GEM and his music is unique. As this young man begins his musical career we will watch him and see lyrical genius shine on and on and light up our lives for many years to come in many different venues- TV shows even LOST his music will last in your heart and mind- and that is truly unique!
