You and your kids won't even know you're exercising!, June 15, 2000
This review is from: 50 Simple Things You Can Do to Raise a Child Who Is Physically Fit (Paperback)
This is a great book to give any committed parent ideas on how to incorporate exercise into the whole family's day without even knowing it. Things like choose an animal and walk like it include suggestions (a crab, a horse, a puppy, a limping puppy) as well as instructions.
Each fitness "session" is divided up by cardiovascular, stretching, or strength, so you can help your child focus on a specific need.
Lots of easy to follow instructions and drawings.
It's a great book because you have to read in advance what to do, then you just suggest it to your child. Makes you seem like a really fun parent with lots of games to play. You think you're helping your child, but you're also getting exercise, too.
The only thing I didn't like is that the Table of Contents only go by numbers (Session #1, Session #2, etc.) and there is no index. So if your looking for, say, the Shadow Dodging Game to refresh your memory, you have to thumb through the book to find it.
Other than that, I highly recommend it.
