Simple was a sweet love story about two men, Brycen and John, who feel drawn to each other and deeply connected even though neither believes he is good enough. It was sad to read all of the doubts and insecurities each man possessed. Both Brycen and John had great qualities, but memories of their exes nearly ruined their budding relationship.

While heavy on the angst and miscommunication between the two main characters characters, overall this was a cute, steamy story.

This was a fun, witty, frustrating and sweet story. Both Brycen and John carry around a lot of baggage from their previous relationships and their insecurities are the biggest obstacles in their way. They have amazing chemistry, are simply perfect for each other but neither can believe it's that Simple. Both are waiting for it to turn sour before it even starts. Brycen's best friend Natty bring humor to this story and I just adored her! I enjoyed this story very much and love how the author kept it simple... I seem to be using that word a lot but like Brycen says...what's more SIMPLE than love?

Sjd Peterson has always been on my pull list. The stories are always tight and sweet and so erotic. This story was a bit of a departure from what I'm used to, though. I'm used to big buff boys (Owen & Tucker from Battle Buddy and Tuck & Cover), I'm used to strong men that have weaknesses (the Whispering Pines series). What I wasn't expecting was a book about Simple men with Simple wishes, but who have been plagued by doubts about who they are to others due to abusive (mentally) exes.

This story made me hurt for the characters, made me want to scream at them to open their eyes, but I understood how badly they'd been betrayed before and I knew it wasn't going to be...well, Simple for them.

I'm grateful for this book. It was a beautiful read about two beautiful people.

(Oh and I adored Natty. Everyone should have a friend like that!)
