This is a top quality SD card and the price is what one should expect. It is a perfect match for my SimpleTech Bonzai USB card reader. The most vulnerable part of a jump drive is the metal connector. An SD card in a Bonzai reader gives me a pocketable storage device that will not lose my data if the connector is accidently bent. I had an occasion to ask a question of SimpleTech's tech support, and my call was handled by a person who was knowledgeable and courteous.

I am fortunate to be able to "test drive" different brand cards on my digital camera, and SimpleTech is the best brand in my opinion. I don't think there's such a thing as a perfect product, but the price matches the performance of this 1 gb card, so I'm giving it 5 stars. This is a very dependable card; and none of my SimpleTech cards have ever failed on me.

Excellent card - I have never had a defective card from SimpleTech. It works magnificently in my digital camera.

This is a good deal considering the capacity and read/write speed. I bought a SimpleTech 256MB SD card with about the same speed a couple of years ago for $50. So the price has really come down. There are benefits to having faster read/write speed depending on your application. The first thing that comes to mind are digital cameras. The write speed of this card will affect your performance if you snap several action-moment pictures at once and the camera has to begin writing to your card. I'm sure you've heard the saying that a device is only as fast as it's slowest component. So if you have a fast camera and a slow card, it will hinder your performance. Other devices that come to mind are PDAs and MP3 players. I'm using this card to replace the 256MB SD in my PDA. My most intensive uses are playing games and MP3s saved to the card. I'm impressed that the card is keeping up well. I'm also happy that it was inexpensive.

First, it is a SD 1GB card if you know what that means.

Go buy a piece of junk and youo will see the results and save $5.00.

If you want garbage, slow speed, poor compatibility no support and something breakable, get a $90.00. Simpletech's SD is a Panasonic !!
