*Simple* to use, and a solid, economical design,
By Dan (Freeport, Maine) - See all my reviews
This review is from: SimpleTech SmartMedia Adapter (Personal Computers)
After I purchased this unit, it took me only 5 minutes to get it set up and running! It's PCMCIA interface allows anyone to take advantage of the extremely fast port in almost every laptop that really isn't taken advantage of a lot. I was very amazed at the speed; I could easily transfer my entire card, (about 32Mb, ~75 pictures), in just a few minutes, simply by dragging them into the folder I wanted! Furthermore, the very useful card, like any other PCMCIA card, can fit right into my pocket. The price is great, too: You couldn't even buy a smartmedia card for that price! Needless to say, the name of this great company goes farther than just a name; it's a way of making their products.

Why keep those old floppies?,

Why keep those old floppies when I can store stuff on my notebook computer. Not only does it support hot swapping but I can transfer data, files, and pictures on it. Simpletech treats me well.

Read the reviews below and I have to agree... once you use this adapter and a hight capacity SM card, you'll toss all those annoying, low capacity floppies away!! Works great!

Super Floppy? Meet the Smartmedia adapter!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: SimpleTech SmartMedia Adapter (Personal Computers)
I was complaining about how little storage space 3.5" floppies provide. A friend suggested that I try using Smartmedia cards as super floppies! So I bought this Simpletech SM card adapter with a 64MB smartmedia card and it works awesome! Threw all my floppies away and now I only use the smartmedia cards to back-up and store stuff on my notebook computer!
