The Simplicity SE3 is so simple to use! I purchased this machine and received it within just a few days from Amazon. Watched the video, and I was embroidering within minutes! It's been a long time since I purchase a sewing machine of any type and I was amazed by automation of this machine. It tells you when there is a problem such as thread breaking or warns you the presser foot hasn't been lowered. It stitches very nice and even. Even my husband was impressed! Watch out, once you get this machine you will be looking at every towel, shirt or piece of cloth wondering what you can embroider on it! A lot of Brother accessories will also fit this machine which makes it very versitle. I chose this machine over the Brother 150 as it had many more options to it. It's worth every cent!

Very nice, intuitive machine. Great instructional video. Stitches beautifully. Instruction on how to do various things are right on the display screen. Very helpful. Will need the Amazing box and a program like Embird to use to full capacity. Built-in designs are limited and bit childish. ...

I bought this machine from another dealer and bought it factory serviced(because it was cheaper and came with some extras). I hade problems with the factory serviced machine and ended up paying much more in the end. I have never had a problem with a factory serviced item from Amazon so I thought factory serviced from another company would have the same quality. I would suggest that you buy new like the one they have listed here. The machine is very easy to use. The video is very simple to follow. I watched the video and completed my first project in a matter of minutes.

I like that it's relatively inexpensive and easy to learn, but you can't adjust the bobbin tension, and mine is too loose. I have to take it in to be adusted. How's that for convenience?

Though I am not a novice at this sort of stuff, I bought this because it was very basic and user friendly. It is easy to use in regards to setting up and threading etc. But I can't seem to get the tension right. I have tried every stabilizer and thread tension, but it never comes out right. I've tried it on T-shirt material because I thought this would be the easiest and I still can't get it to embroider properly. I can't get any help from the company. This machine has been sitting at my house for 5 months and not one shirt came out right! Anyone who can help me, please email me at yjrose712@yahoo.com
