I remember having a Gunne Sax skirt and blouse outfit that I loved as a teen, and this pattern brings the same old-fashioned fancy feminine styling to younger girls. My daughter loved this pattern so much, I ended up making it six different times with different collar and sleeve options. The lace work can be a little fiddly--just pin it like crazy and sew slowly. The skirt is pretty full, which is fun for twirling in, and the styling is nicely modest...unlike so much of what passes for little girl dresses these days. It's a shame the pattern has gone out of print.
