5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent conveyance of basic noise control techniques, November 2, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Simplified Design for Building Sound Control (Hardcover)
The authors show a clear understanding of noise and vibration control and are able to convey this information in a manner that is easily understood by the novice, while at the same time not being so simple as to bore the those seeking a refresher course or just wanting to get other opinions. The section on case studies was especially helpful to provide real life scenarios for reference. The illustrations are also very good.

2.0 out of 5 stars How much money?, December 8, 2008
This review is from: Simplified Design for Building Sound Control (Hardcover)
Interesting primer for one to appreciate the basic "concepts" of soundproofing. However, the price is completely and utterly obnoxious. At $100, I expected and hoped for something in addition to basic concepts to include:

(1) basic mathematical and scientific explanations
(2) a lot more voluminous
