This book is a great refresher or textbook for design professionals. Not as in depth as the true wood design bible (NDS) but it does clearly cover all bases required for straight forward design work or preliminary sizing of structural members. The calculations cover ASD and LRFD calculations and the two blur upon first read but after a second examination the each calculation is distinguished from the other. In my experience this seems to be the norm of books that cover both types of calculations.
