The Simplism Leather Case for my IPAD is great! It's a good protection for the IPAD and is very stylish. The cloth that I keep to wipe off the screen adheres to the leather's inside cover, which is another nice feature.

I love this case!! My Ipad goes where I go, even if I don't have my backpack with me. I can even use it to prop up my Ipad when I need a stand. I have other cases but i use this one 90 percent of the time.

I wanted a carrying case for my iPad that I could sling over my shoulder when transporting my wife in her wheelchair. Works perfectly. The leather clasp could use a bit of redesign and the cover could fold back a bit more gracefully, but I am quite happy with the product as it is. The saddle color leather is beautiful and does not scuff easily.

I really like this case. I looked at a lot of them before I bought one. This is just one feature short of perfect.
The good things: This case goes all around the iPad, so it feels more secure. Some held the device in with little straps on the corners that I couldn't trust. The stiff leather of this case also protects the edge of the iPad by sticking out around the device just a bit. The leather, by the way, is beautiful, and the case is nicely stitched.
I like the strap on the case because I too often fall asleep reading in bed, and I wake up to find the book/magazine on the floor. This way I slip it around my neck and even if I do fall asleep I know it won't be hitting the floor.
One thing missing: I wish it had a very low-profile flap on the back or on the inside just to hold a few pieces of paper.p
Otherwise, this is a classy looking case the does the job of protecting my iPad well.
July 25 Update: I still like this case for the most part, but it does have a couple problems. The leather tab on the back isn't stitched along each side, so the underside flap is pushed out of shape. I fixed it by using gorilla glue on the inside edges.
But today the small tab on the back that has a ring in it for the snap to hook through suddenly came free when the tab pulled free. It doesn't look like it was ever stitched in.
I have emailed Simplism and asked for a replacement. I will let you know what happens.
July 31 Update: the manufacturer told me to contact the seller. I did, and suggested that they send me a new cover along with an envelope, with postage, for the original cover. They said I was past the 30 day return policy, they said they don't cross-ship, but they did send an envelope for the original case. The iPad will be unprotected for a week or so. But I appreciate the seller standing by their product and sale.

Just received my leather case for my iPad and love it so far. It is real leather although not the highest quality, but it looks nice and is very convenient.

Simple, sturdy, and flexible, this case is a great traveling companion for the iPad. The clip-on shoulder straps let me carry it handsfree through restaurants, airports, parking lots, etc. They can also be removed so that it comfortably fits into a tight space. I especially like this feature for use in an airplane cockpit, as there already isn't much room between the iPad and the controls. The simple leather construction is appealing and fits well with a business casual outfit. All the buttons work reasonably well inside it. The only one that I have occasional trouble reaching is the mute switch, which is partially covered by the side of the case. I also discovered that the Targus Stylus for Apple iPad 16GB, 32GB, 64GB WiFi + 3G, iPad 2, iPhone, iPod, Tablet AMM01US (Black), a great product itself, snugs right into the side of the case with its clip attached to the inside of one of the side supports! These two products are a perfect match, as long as you don't mind putting a little felt on your iPad to avoid getting it scratched by the stylus clip.

There are some things I would like to see added or changed In the design. I know it's meant to be a simple case, but it leaves out some basic features that would be incredibly easy to add. The flip-up top or inside of the case where the straps attach could easily have a pocket for papers, cards, etc. Right now I have to slide those things behind the iPad and hope they stay put. The side pieces could have straps to hold a stylus or ink pen without endangering the iPad to scratches. I gave this case a 4/5 for these missed opportunities. Overall, however, it's one of the best cases I've seen, for a laptop or tablet.

I searched for a cover for my iPad for quite a while. I actually purchased one from a retail store, but within a few weeks, found it was too heavy and bulky. While offering great protection, with a built in stand, it almost doubled the weight of the device and it got too cumbersome to carry around. I started looking for the perfect cover and after ordering and receiving this one, I think I found it. I wanted something with a shoulder strap because that just made good sense if you're carrying a purse or anything else, you need to have a way to carry your ipad securely. The leather is very nice, love the color. I've had no problems with the tab closure, or the fold-back cover (as others have). I've seen no problems with the stitching. I too keep the screen cloth inside, but I wish there was a small pocket for notes, cards or whatever. I've now had my Simplism case for about 6 months and I'm still loving it every day.
