I'm not the type to get excited over a pan, but I'll make an exception for this pan. Fantastic buy!!! The nonstick is exactly that, nonstick. Cook an egg without oil and the egg glides off - anything you cook glides off. Wash it with soap, water and a washcloth and your done.

I decided to return this item because the bottom did not sit flush with the stove and caused the pan to wobble around whenever I tried to use a spatula on it. It's possible that the pan was defective and that everyone else's pan was flat-bottomed, but the cooking was so uneven that I didn't want to keep it. I already have the 10 inch crepe pan, so I'm just going to buy another one. That pan is the best piece of cookware I've ever owned, and the fact that I don't mind having 2 of them is a testament to that.

I prepare breakfast for my kids on weekends, and this is my helper - for frying eggs, bacon, and cooking garlic fried rice. I love seeing the eggs slide on the non-stick surface. Afterwards, it's bacon time, and fried rice. Cleanup is a snap, with cloth and hot water. I'm glad I got this pan!

Since I bought this pan, I've used it everyday. I'll probably get rid of old omelet pans. I cook steak, stir fry, omelet, pan cake, well almost everything. I cooked pancakes WITHOUT oil for the first time and they tasted much better. It changes my kitchen life. I wish I had bought it long time ago. It's a great deal for the price.

Calphalon has the same cheap non-stick coating that comes off and scratches with the least contact as the cheapest pans you buy at the dollar store. Get something with a thicker coating that will actually last.

I purchased this pan about a year ago. I remember liking it at first. I had read a lot of great reviews on this product and I have always liked Calphlon. For the first first time I am complaining. The bottom of the pan became warped. I do not use this pan more than a few times a month. My displeasure in the product prompted me to check the customer reviews, which I rely on, to see if other consumers had the same problem.

I found one other person with this complaint. The pan does not sit on on the stove making it impossible to cook evenly. Forget the spatula.

I will be throwing this pan out soon. This is my first customer review and I have been buying Calphan since 2000.

I suggest that you pass on this one.

This pan is great! The lid and nonstick surface makes this pan so versatile. I use it literally everyday for frying, sauteeing, etc. I also LOVE the look of it. Its got a beautiful modern style that friends and relatives are impressed with. A family member who saw it is getting one too.

However, my only complaint is that it is super HEAVY! Its hard on the wrist when pouring food onto the dish.

I bought somewhere else ON SALE for $10 MORE than today's (Friday sale) sale price on Amazon. So GO FOR IT! Its a great pan for the price. "Simply Calphalon", to my opinion, is a lower end product than your classic or professional series. I have been a faithful Calphalon users for many years. This is the only "Simply Calphalon" product I own. I like it! The only thing I notice about a "lower" quality was on the lid where the cruves does not look as smooth as the other Calphalon lids I have. Not a problem at all. I do think they might have "thinner" non-stick coating and they have 10 years warranty rather than life time. For the great price they are offering today, I'd say go for it!

Simply Calphalon like the rest of the lines carries a warranty. When there is an issue such as what I've read here, call Calphalon's 800# number, I'm sure they will replace a piece in that condition. Professional cookware, low end or not comes with quality assurance.
